The premises of McDonald’s in Staines, Surrey was scheduled for transformation to a digitally enabled environment.
As part of the McDonald’s ‘Experience of the Future’ (EotF) project, the work involved a complete refurbishment and upgrade of the restaurant to include:
Working alongside main contractor, Galamast, Jade incorporated these elements as well as completing a full CAT6 re-cable of the site.
The project was successfully completed despite the challenges of a tight programme, during a six week restaurant closure.
And Jade Solutions’ involvement was led by project engineer Rob Jefferies, who commented:
‘The level of attention-to-detail and precision required on a project like this is high, where digital technology has to be implemented and tested in what is effectively a building site.
‘We had to apply exacting standards of organisation and expertise to make sure our impact on other operations was minimal, despite the critical nature of the work we were doing.’
The work was extremely well received by McDonald’s representatives, who commented:
‘It was fantastic to see the progress made with the look and feel of the restaurant – the EotF in Staines High Street is one of the best transformations that’s been seen.’
Staines High Street is one of almost 290 McDonald’s premises worked on by Jade Solutions since 2015.
This includes over 100 in both 2016 and 2017, a clear indication of an ongoing successful relationship between client and technical partner.
