Project Co-ordinator

Location – Newton Le Willows (WA12 0HF)

Jade Solutions Limited has been established for over 20 years and is a leading supplier and installer of technology solutions.

We have an opportunity for a Project Coordinator to join our team on a full-time basis working out of our Newton Le Willows Office. Your main responsibility in this role is to provide operational support to the Technical Services Manager and project team by coordinating project administration, project logistics, resources and documentation.

You will be responsible for assisting the project team in meeting agreed project objectives, service delivery standards and timelines, stakeholder expectations and client needs.

Every day will be a little different, but here are the things that will keep you busy from day-to-day:

  • Undertake a range of administrative responsibilities to assist with the smooth delivery of projects within agreed time frames and to acceptable quality standards
  • Act as the initial contact point both internally and externally for queries
  • Maintain all project documentation as agreed with the relevant Project Manager
  • Manage stock levels and work with suppliers to ensure sufficient stock is available
  • Raise orders on suppliers and subcontractors to meet project needs
  • Ensure invoicing is carried out promptly and accurately on project completion or when requested by the Project Manager
  • Contact clients to arrange site visits
  • Produce reports as per project needs
  • Manage the movement of stock between our logistics partner and the end user. This may involve the need to physically pickup kit and deliver it which may involve overnight stays
  • Make suggestions for continuous improvements to existing work flows/practices

Ideally the successful candidate will have had experience gained from a project office type role but it is not essential. Here are some other things that will help make you a strong candidate:

  • Educated to a minimum of GCSE level or international equivalent
  • Work experience within a similar role and/or similar office environment
  • Flexible and professional approach to work and be a team player
  • Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written
  • Self-motivated, confident and thorough with good attention to detail
  • Strong time management, planning and organisation skills with the ability to handle busy workloads and competing priorities
  • Fast learner with the ability to acquire and apply knowledge
  • Good geographical knowledge of the UK and Ireland
  • Full driving licence is essential

Project Manager

Location – Newton Le Willows (WA12 0HF)

Jade has close relationships with leading mobile hardware and software manufacturers including Zebra, Honeywell, Extreme and Aerohive.

Its customers include:

McDonald’s, Marks and Spencer, Clarks, Nando’s, Pret, Booker and Travis Perkins.

As part of its solutions offering, Jade has a strong Technical Services Team deploying varied IT systems mainly in the EPOS, PC, KVS and Wireless. The position sits within the Technical Services Team reporting directly to the Technical Services Manager.

We are looking for a self-motivated person, who will be able to work effectively without close supervision.

Duties and responsibilities

Your main activities will include Project Planning and Delivery of complex IT and Wireless Solutions mainly into the fast food / retail market. The position is based at Jade’s offices at Newton-Le-Willows, however it is envisaged that a lot of time will be spent on customer sites.

In your role you will be responsible for:

  • Working with the customer to understand the requirements and ensure a full specification / scope is produced prior to project commencement
  • Assisting with bid documentation
  • Producing schedules / project plans
  • Onsite training of installation personnel
  • Working with external 3rd party contractors to deliver solutions
  • Quality and reporting
  • Maintaining financial control and reporting
  • Regular reviews both internally and with the customer

Skills / attributes required

  • Experience in deployment of IT systems to the hospitality / fast food sector both hands on and managerial to include EPOS / KVS and Wireless
  • Experience of managing multiple ongoing projects under tight timescales and budgets
  • The ability to deliver clear messages to technical and non-technical customers and colleagues
  • Ability to forward plan, work to deadlines, remain calm under pressure and a proactive approach to organising a busy workload and excellent interpersonal skills are essential
  • Planning and organisational skills; able to establish efficient and appropriate plans for self and others and adapt quickly and effectively to unexpected changes whilst still ensuring objectives are met
  • Commitment to results; is committed to obtaining results through taking responsibility, demonstrating a positive attitude and ensuring quality is built into work
  • Possess diplomatic skills in order to interface at all levels of the organisation and with external personnel
  • Proven ability to prioritise workloads in a constantly changing business and sales environment
  • Professional appearance and ability to communicate ideas clearly and concisely in verbal and written form
  • Understand, appreciate and contribute to Jade’s corporate strategy
  • Excellent PC Skills including use of MS Office
